Cleaning Tips – What Should You Know?
Here at The Office Cleaner of Northern Virginia we have the privilege of serving many churches and places of worship in Loudoun and Fairfax County, Virginia. If you’re a minister, manager or the office administrator, knowing where to begin with sound cleaning tips can be overwhelming.
Below we created a checklist of areas a typical church in our area has us clean for them regularly. You can connect with your manager or pastor and see what items may be best for your place of worship or office.
Restrooms cleaning and restocking
A good cleaning tip is to make sure all sinks and faucets are disinfected. Also the toilets scrubbed, door knobs and light switches are sanitized. The floors should be mopped and shining as well. Along with church cleaning tips, items that should be restocked are toilet paper, seat covers, paper towels and hand soap. Also the trash cans should be emptied and replaced with new bag liners.
Kitchen and fellowship hall
These areas can have a lot of high traffic and often get the messiest in the shortest amount of time. We want to be sure that your kitchen counter tops, sink areas and cabinets are wiped down, along with tables and chairs so that everything is ready for the next gathering.

Your sanctuary of worship may use pews or updated seating chairs, and both types should be checked regularly for miscellaneous trash and leftover bulletins, and may need a quick vacuum from time to time. We can also provide polishing for pews that have faded over time, and are able to make them clean and shine like new.
Cleaning Tips – Sound booths and stage
We make sure to take extreme caution when cleaning sound booths, as the last thing you want when you arrive on Sunday morning is the slides on the screen not showing up due to a careless cleaner unplugging the feed cable while they were cleaning. Our team will carefully dust electronics and take our time vacuuming around the chords and power strips on the floor so nothing gets unplugged.
Cleaning Tips – Nurseries and classrooms
The safety of infants and children is the top priority on our list, so make sure that all play stations, cribs and toys are disinfected regularly is important. Because germs are so easily transmitted, we also wipe down door handles, light switches, sink areas and cabinets. This wat you know your children’s environment is safe and ready for use.

We want to create a welcoming atmosphere for you and your pastoral team. So making sure that we take care of dusting desks, computer screens and bookshelves is important.
